No man who stands in God's presence can remain the same. The day you have a divine encounter, you would have encountered your divine destiny. One of the easiest way you can access the presence of God is to be in prayer. This is so simple but yet so neglected by millions of believers. In prayer, we do not only experience a change of our situation, we also experience a change in ourselves. The encounter that Peter talked about in his epistle when he witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus on the mountain in prayer is a classical example for us of how prayer can transfigure us from the normal to the supernatural. Peter saw Jesus transfigured, then he saw Moses and Elijah and then he heard the voice of Elohim.
Three things happen when we are in his presence:
We will change from the norm to the supernatural.
Your life will begin to shine.
As Peter saw Moses and Elijah which is symbolic of the Law and the Prophets, another way of describing the Scriptures. We will have fresh revelations. We will hear the voice of God. His voice and directions will be clear to you
2 Corinthians 3:18; "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.'
2 Corinthians 3:16-18; "Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him." (The Message)
While Moses spent time before the presence of God in prayer, he did not realize that the look on his face had undergone a shining change but when he came down to the people, the disparaging, the disapproving and ungrateful crowd could no longer look at him in the eyes. Let me tell you, there will come a time because of your continued perseverance to be in his presence that when you come down from His mountain, the disparaging naysayers will not be able to look at you in the eyes as the glory of God on you will be too much for them to bear. The change within Moses overpowered and subdued the opposition around him. I want to encourage you today to take the time to be in his presence - YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT! (G.A)
