With all the fear and bad news that we are seeing and hearing about the Coronavirus, one would think that this is the first time that an event like this has ever occurred. The Bible is the answer book to all of life's problems. This is why now more than ever we need to be full of the Word so that we can walk in the reality of what the Psalmist said, 'He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies' (Psalm 112:7, 8) I can guarantee that you will not have a fixed and an established heart listening and watching 24 hours News Media. Haven't you learned by now that faith does not increase by constantly watching and hearing CNN, MSNBC, FOX, NBC, ABC and any other channels. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Get your eyes and hearing off of the world and get them on the Word of God which is our hope.
This Coronavirus pandemic has exposed the pandemonium of the world and the church. I expect the world to be in pandemonium but not the body of Christ. We know this is nothing new and if we apply Biblical precepts and principles then we will have the same results the people of God in the Scriptures had. Solomon was very clear when he said, 'There is nothing new under the sun. That which has been is that which shall be after.' In other words learn from history. To understand the future and fix it, learn from the past. This is not the first time we have heard or seen of an epidemic over a nation.

After David sinned with the Census that was provoked by Satan, there was an epidemic, a plague upon Israel that lasted for three days resulting in seventy thousand men dying throughout the nation. Satan's temptation of David was done for the purpose of releasing the death angel over the land through an epidemic. The death angel, 'stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the Lord was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.' (2 Samuel 24:16) Evidently David was upset about 70,000 men dying and how was he going to stop that death angel from killing more people. The Prophet Gad gave him instructions that he had to follow.
- Go to the threshing floor of Araunah and buy it
- Buy cattle and offer them up as blood sacrifice
- Pray
The threshing floor would later be where the temple would be built and upon this same mountain where Jesus would be crucified at Mount Calvary.
The cattle represent the blood sacrifice that would stop the plague then and the plague of sin and sickness by the shed blood of Christ
Prayer is always asking for divine intervention in the affairs of men. It is asking God for his hand to remove the hand of Satan over our lives and nations.
David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered his prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

Then he built an altar for the LORD. He offered sacrifices to please the LORD and to ask for his blessings. The LORD answered the prayers of the people, and no one else died from the terrible disease.
Contemporary English Version
The answer is always the same. Have faith in the blood sacrifice of Christ and pray. See these words,
- The LORD answered the prayers of the people, and no one else died from the terrible disease.
- The LORD answered his prayer, and the epidemic in Israel was stopped.
- So the LORD responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.
- Thus the LORD was moved by prayer for the land, and the plague was held back from Israel.
Jesus Christ is the same as always. So let us pray and plead the blood of Christ. What will the end result be?
And the Lord commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.
1 Chronicles 21:27
Whatever sword has been drawn by the death angel over you or over your family, by the superior blood of Jesus and by the authority of God's word, you can tell Satan, 'Put your sword back and get lost!'
