The missing element for supernatural success

The conundrum of effective ministry is solved when you add fasting to your arsenal. When it comes to supernatural success we have the mental belief but we do not have the physical manifestations and that is because we lack spiritual power.

One  reason we are seeing  empty churches in our societies is due to a lack of  supernatural manifestations. People come in with their problems and leave with their problems. People find themselves in the same position as the man who brought his lunatic son to the disciples for help. The man’s answer to Jesus should send alarm bells ringing  in our spirits:

And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not. 

Luke 9:40

That is the indictment against the modern church. While we believe in the power of God, many are coming short of it. This is why I say, When it comes to supernatural success, we have the mental belief but we do not have the physical manifestations due to a lack of spiritual power. 

Why are we not walking in the power of God?

The problem is not on God’s side. It is on the human side. The power of God is pretty much like electricity that needs a conductor for it to power up your house. In order for you to be the hand of God to your generation you need to be a conductor of the anointing.  Jesus is our ultimate example so let’s learn from him:

And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness… And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee…’

Luke 4:1-2, 14

Fasting is a missing element for supernatural success in your life

Fasting enables you to be a conductor of the power of God. Jesus did not operate in power because He was deity or the Son of God. You need to understand that He operated in the earth as the son of man. He operated in the earth as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit. He yielded completely to the Holy Spirit for everything in His ministry. All the miracles and healings were because of His complete reliance on the Spirit of God. He allowed himself to become the conductor of the power of God. After a season of fasting, Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit and His testimony was:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Luke 4:18-19

Jesus then stunned the crowd who had gathered in the synagogue that day:

And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth

Luke 4:21-22

Many times we read something in the Scriptures and we do not know how to see its fulfillment. In other words what we read in the book stays in the book. That was not the case with the Lord. After Jesus fasted, He came and announced the present fulfillment of these words. What will they see?

• Anointed preaching
• Healing
• Deliverance to the captives
• Recovering of sight to the blind
• Liberty to those who are bruised

All this happened after Jesus’ season of fasting. If these are the missing elements in your life and ministry then I can tell you THE missing element in your life is the fasting connection. While fasting has nothing to do with your salvation, it has everything to do with you being a conductor of the power of God. Like electricity powers your utensils and lights up your house through conductors known as wires and sockets, fasting will bring supernatural success and enable you to be a conductor to power up and light up people around you.
